Bel-Art Products makes a variety of plastic products for laboratory use, including pitchers, petri dishes and pipettes.
SP Industries Inc. has acquired Bel-Art Products, a maker of laboratory products including plastic petri dishes, bottles and other items.
Based in Warminster, Pa., SP designs and manufactures laboratory equipment and specialty glassware at facilities in the U.S. and Europe.
Bel-Art, formerly privately held and headquartered in Wayne, N.J., operates a custom injection molding facility in Pocomoke City, Md., called NuTech Manufacturing, and also has blow molding, rotomolding and compression molding capabilities. Its end markets include the scientific, industrial and healthcare industries.
The acquisition will enable SP to access new customers and to serve more diverse end markets, said private investment firm Graham Partners, which owns SP.
Bel-Art will continue operating under its own name, an SP news release indicates. |
