Officials of Brückner Maschinenbau GmbH KB report solid sales of its film stretching lines and the patented Evapore process for making battery separator film.
The films are used in lithium-ion batteries for portable electronic devices like notebook computers and smart phones.
Further development is focusing on continuing to expand Brückner’s line of battery separator films for hybrid and electric vehicles, and stationary power storage applications.
On July 8 and 9, the company held Battery Separator Film Demo Days at its headquarters in Siegsdorf, Germany. Attendees saw advancements in the Evapore process of polyethylene film run on a pilot line, coating of separator film for electric vehicles and test runs of polypropylene separator film on a laboratory stretching machine.
