Kason Corp.'s new vibratory screener.
Kason Corp. President Henry Alamzad claims the company has built the world’s largest round vibratory screener — with a screening area of 75 square feet. It can separate oversized particles from bulk material at rates of to 150 tons an hour.
The screener is totally enclosed for dust-tight operation. The unit features a high-capacity Kascade Internal Recycle Screening Deck with two screens of the same mesh operating in series, for large-scale throughput without sacrificing efficiency or increasing the footprint of the screener.
The Kascade deck, which is positioned directly above the conventional screening deck, is slightly smaller in diameter, allowing a 360-degree annular gap at the screen’s periphery. As this deck is fed with material at a high rate, the on-sized material falls straight through the screen and is funneled through a hole on the center of the lower conventional screen to a discharge outlet. The overflow material, both on-size and oversize, than cascades over the screen’s periphery and falls onto the conventional screen deck, that handles the rest of the material in normal fashion.
Other features include an Air-Life quick screen change, giving fast access to the interior of the unit for inspection, cleaning or screen changes; and an Auto-Lube lubrication system that pressure-feeds food-grade lubricant to the motor bearings, flushing out any dead spots where lubricant might pool-- extending bearing life and allowing six to 12 months between reservoir replacements.
